Ginger Barber Interior Design has been a fixture in Houstonians’ homes, and their second homes since she opened her firm almost 30 years ago. Over the past year, challenges for the agency have included maximizing the exposure of Barber’s older projects, while also strategizing the cadence of pitching recently completed projects to national and local publications based on editorial calendars. Additionally, keeping Habitat for Horses top of mind in a nonprofit-centric market like Houston.
Ginger Barber Interior Design partnered with Memorial Antiques & Interiors to host “The Horse at Home” shopping event benefiting Habitat for Horses. With 14 trunk-show vendors, a food truck, and Habitat for Horses’ very own miniature horse, Mr. Munchie, in attendance, The PR Boutique was able to secure a broadcast segment with a local lifestyle morning show on KHOU CBS-11, Great Day Houston.
With a portfolio encompassing her clients’ first and second homes, Ginger Barber Interior Design’s bayside retreat in Galveston was published in the Houston Chronicle’s May issue of Luxe Life and received additional exposure with the digital story published online. The PR Boutique was able to facilitate a media visit to the property with Ginger Barber and the homeowner to get a personal tour and interview for the story.
In addition to handling media relations for Ginger Barber Interior Design, The PR Boutique facilitated and oversaw the event management for Habitat for Horses’ annual fundraising event. Despite the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and the Astros playing in the World Series, The PR Boutique was able to push ticket sales for the event and help raise over $100K for the nonprofit. From implementing the online ticketing for the event to prepping the auction item packages, brainstorming creative ways to raise additional money, and managing the event from check-in to assisting with check-out, the 6th annual event was the most smoothly run fundraiser for Habitat for Horses to date.
